During a trip earlier this fall, I found that a number of motels don't
take pets or if they do take pets, they only take dogs. Many charge
$5.00 to $15.00 for a pet even if it's just a parrot in a cage.

I did have good luck with LaQuinta Inns who accept pets and don't
charge a premium.
