I wonder if Alex was taught the hot/warm/cold terms. I wonder, if he was,
if he ever verbalized a preference. Have you ever read this about him?
My little GCC, Cricket, has always loved the coldest possible water for a
bath. It used to freeze my fingers when I'd let it run in the cup of my
hands for her when we lived in Colorado. She won't bathe in anything
warmer. She sure is getting old. She's my first and I love her so much.
It will be a sad day when she leaves.

I haven't, but it wouldn't surprise me if he had been taught that
distinction.
