Haven't been here in a while. Thought that rather than my usual smart-
alec attempts at humor, I'd actually post something.
My wife and I took a 3 week trip in our motorhome a couple of months
ago. This is the first long trip we've taken in this motorhome and,
since it's a lot bigger than the last one, we packed up the TAG as
well as our 3 little dogs. We went from Louisiana through Texas, New
Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Arizona, and Nevada. The bird's a bit spooky
and nervous about things like a new toy in his cage. Millet sprays
nearly give him heart attacks for a day, then he devours them. We
took him on a 4 day trip a few years back, though, and he seemed OK,
so we took him again. I think he'd wear a "I saw Colorado" T-shirt
now. He had a great time, loved being in the motorhome with the
dogs. He dropped his daily yelling at the dogs, "STOP IT!, NO!
KENNEL UP!" etc. Yes, he whistles and shouts and calls them by name.
(Maybe the dogs were on better behavior and he didn't think they
needed it.) The bird now keeps a small bag packed so he's ready if
another trip breaks out. Oh, he also somehow learned to make sounds
as I drove that startled me into thinking that different mechanical
breakdowns were occurring. Wonderful creature. My wife bought a baby
Yorkie that's griping and jumping for attention beside me as I try to
write this. The bird'll outlive me. This Yorkie may, too, unless my
blood pressure's no problem.

Our YNA traveled for 11 years with us in our motor home. Loved every
minute of it. We would put her out on a table at the campsite and she
would talk to the folks walking by. Gave a wolf whistle to a few
women that almost got me in trouble. :-) We ran into a lot of folks
with birds in their RVs, they do travel well.
