Hi,

I've recently moved to the UK for work, and I need to find out how to
get my Amazon over here.

Has anyone here moved to the UK with their bird?
Any recommendations on pet mover companies?  (Are they worth it?)
Which airline did you fly?  Were you required to fly into a specific
airport?
Did yor bird have to travel cargo class?

Any info greatly appreciated.

Look at
<http://www.defra.gov.uk/animalh/int-trde/imports/iins/birds/a12.htm>
for the legal situation.

For something like this, I wouldn't trust usenet. You need to contact the
appropriate agencies here and in the UK. I would start by doing a google
search for importing domestic pets into britain. I would contact the customs
for both countries to point me to the right agencies (the agencies involved
will likely be connected to the british agricultural departments).
