I think my budgie is sick

My two-and-a-half-year-old budgie is all puffed up and is acting
lethargic. All he does is sit in his Happy Hut and pop out
occasionally to grab a bite to eat. He just got back from my
relatives' house, where we put him whil we were on vacation. There is
another bird, about 6 months older than him, who he has lived with
since we got him. The older bird is fine. I don't know what to do
about my sick bird. He eats Kaytee Fiesta seed mix and Lafeber's
Parakeet Nutri-Berries.

What you do with your sick budgie is, you take him as quickly as possible to a
veterinarian who specializes in treating birds. Also known as an "avian vet".
You tell the avian vet what you've told us here, and hope that the vet will be
able to find out the cause and prescribe a treatment.

Good luck.

This reminds me, for some reason, of "WHAT DID THE VET SAY?"

Well, I just thought I'd let you guys know that my budgie, Jack,
passed away today. Oddly enough, the other bird is absolutely fine. Of
course, it tries to bite off my fingers....... Anyway, some nonstick
cookware may have gotten him sick, or he may have just gotten so
stressed that he was vulnerable to something. It was too late for any
treatment.

My sympathies on the loss of Jack.

There are so many things that it might have been. It may be worth trying to
figure out what it was, just in case your other bird is also at risk.
