We are going to be buying a budgie for our family. I have had them
previously, and am familiar with their care. I have 5 children who
will also be involved in raising and caring for the bird. However, I
won't purchase it until they have all researched budgie care and
present their research to their father and I, I homeschool just so you
know. I want to be able to provide them with good reading material and
guides and websites, any help and suggestions would be appreciated.
We have raised and bred reptiles for some time now and they have been
very involved in this also, I just know that some books are very
incorrect and more for entertainment than they are for true knowledge.
Thanks,
Cori

As for a book, I own many.
My favorite is: The Complete Book of Parakeet Care (Annette Wolter/Monika
Wegler, Barrons publ.)
As for a site, I'll recommend mine (links to many others):
