I have been mulling over this issue for several months, and this
link will be of enormous help as I figure out what I'm going to
do.

Although the information at this link is US-specific, I should be
able to adapt it to Canadian laws. After all, the US and Canada
both base their laws on British common law.

I will salso hare this information with my avian vet. She wants
to be able to help her clients to find appropriate ways of
providing for their birds, in the event of death or catastrophic
illness.

A psychic once told me I would live to be 86 years old. However,
one internet source claims that the bare-eyed cockatoo could
easily live 50-60 years. If that is so, Jester is going to
outlive me.

So, much thanks from me - and Jester - for sharing this
information.
