yesterday Charlie (B&G) seemed to just realize other birds talk. Him and Max
(BCC) never have liked each other, but often when I have Max on my shoulder
I will stop and play with Charlie. yesterday as I was going by his new stand
which has him at eye level I stopped to talk, and Max said Hello, Charlie
said Hello, then Max, and it seemed Charlie suddenly realized the words were
coming from Max, not me. He kept looking from me to the Conure, feathers
went up, eyes were pinning in and out like crazy. I stayed there for a while
getting Max to talk, and every time he did Charlie got very excited. It was
funny as hell, it was as if Charlie had never realized another bird made
those human sounds besides him. Would have loved to have got it on tape. <G>

Now they will never shut up lol. Most of my talkers talk to each other.
WHen Cuppy sings "how much iss dat dawgy" he gets a chorus of "woof
woof" between each verse.

You got younger or something?  You used to be "older molly".

Q: Why can't you have a circumcised Morris dancer?
A: Because you have to be a complete prick to be a Morris dancer.

Maybe Charlie thinks you're a ventriloquist? Cute story!

LOL, Maybe you're right Mamabird, he thought it was a "new trick". He sure
as hell got excited about it.
Molly they already interact a lot. One will start the other gets going
and back and forth. This seemed to be the first time the Macaw noticed the
sounds were coming from the little green bird he dislikes.
Funny how they react to things.

Same thing happens here with me (presumed human), Sky (blue fronted amazon), and Jasper (blue crowned conure).  Hello hello hello all three of us one after the other.  They get really excited about it.

Cute story. Dusty  talks to Rella all the time. She says good morning when I
take the cover off the cage in the morning and she tells her to be pretty
when she  ( Rella ) is being noisy. Rella never talks to Dusty though.
