Hello To Everyone.
My 1 year old Gloster consort male canary started acting strange this
afternoon. He is sitting on the bottom of the cage, puffed up and droopy
winged. His droppings do not appear any different.
I have put him in a dark, quiet, warm room. He has frsh H2O and food available,
but isn't showing any interest in either.
Is there anything else I can do for him, until morning when I can get him to
the Vets?
TIA,
Mary
Is there an emergency vet you can take him tonight? If not, from what
I've read, make sure to keep him warm. I've heard suggestions such as
putting a heating pad under his cage set on low--but I'm not an
expert. Good luck and let us know what the vet says.

I was told to keep sick budgies warm - can't remember the temperature though.

>And your point is IDIOT? The poster wants advice about Canaries not budgies.

Hi Dreamsetter, Thanks for your reply.
Gary (my canary) passed away last night. I did keep him warm although. I'm sure
he's flying at the bridge now...
