The good news- two of our cichlids have had offspring - lots.

The bad news - mom and pop are being really territorially aggressive,
chasing other fish round the tank. Sometimes you can even hear the thump
when they collide with another fish. The tank is around 80 gal.

Is this behaviour likely to continue? I'm concerned the other fish may
get injured.

What species of cichlids are we talking about? Many cichlids become
territorial when they start breeding and stay that way for the rest of their
lives. I'm guessing this will persist. On the other hand there are species
that only stay that aggressive until the babies are removed, eaten or reach
a level that no longer requires parental care.
