Hi,

I have had my new baby oscar for 12 days now (he's 2.5in), and I just
noticed last night he has some tiny tiny white dots on his head and one
on his right side fin.  They seem to be raised.  I immediately thought
he had Ich, but in my experience, this usually effects the fins before
it starts on the body.  The dots are very small, like pin pricks, and
they are only on the right side of his head.  There are about of them.

Is this Hole in the Head?  Please help me to get rid of it.  Could it
just be the normal sensory organs showing up more on one side?

Other than this, the fish is fine, he begs and begs me for food, always
dancing around the front of the tank.  I really don't want him to die.
As a precaution I put some Malachite green in the tank with him.  He
seems to not even notice it's there...

I had the same thing when my oscar was small, I just treated for ich and the
spots went away. I did have one that had hole in the head, and it really is
a hole, but i think that happens to bigger ones.
Good luck

Thanks, I feel better now.  These spots are reluctant to leave.
Hopefully my new power filter will help it go away...

Don't think it will be hith,,sounds like ich, a lot of fish get this when moved,,You can treat this with salt (pure) at 1 table spoon per 5 gallons and raise the temp to 82.

If you have any scaleless fish in the tank with the O then half the dose
