Landscaping companies and hardware stores often have lava rock available. It
might not be the same quality, but it will be a lot less expensive.

If you are in the UK or Europe you can often find it sold under thye name
AlfaGrog, do a search for the Pond professor, South African based who ships
it over there. G'Luck
