I purchased some Cichlids from a guy in Miami, Fancy Koi. Five of the fish
died on the 30 mile trek home. He said he'd make good. I gave up on trying
to get it together with him after he set up a time on Friday for a Saturday
meeting. That Saturday he was no where to be found. Buyers beware.

Sorry to hear that.  Thanks for spreading the word.

Well, considering it might have taken you about 30-40 minutes to get home, I
have to believe there was something about the transporation exercise that
killed the fish - water temp/changes?  Chloride?  Water chemical problem?
Did you use the original tank water?.  Did the temp have a drastic change?
