Hi all,

I bought a used tank about a week ago which contains an oscar fish, with
what I believe is hole in the head disease.  I purchased some medicine
called Hole in the Head Guard and was wondering if anyone has experience
with this medicine or not.  Does it work?  It looks like a complicated
procedure for using it, and I only have a few days experience with oscars,
but I have already fallen in love with this fish.  I would hate it if he
died.  do they die from hole in the head disease?  Thanks and any help would
be greatly appreciated.

Hole in the head is typically caused by poor water quality and poor
food quality.  Improve both and you'll likely have no problems with
the oscar.
