It is for emergency bleeds, not deliberately inflicted ones.

For once, I find myself agreeing with you. <g>

When was the last time your quick was cut into?
It may hurt a little, but it is not a mortal wound and the birds themselves
are probably over it long before you bleeding heart pussies are.
> > that's what quick-stop is for.

So if you deliberately make a birds nails bleed, quick-stop wont work?
Get real. I would not call accidently cutting a nail's quick an emergency.
Yes it needs to be attended to, but it is not by any means an emrgency.

Get real. Yes, your scenerio could happen (especially in that filthy house
of yours), but it is not at all likely.
> Your cavalier attitude to the cutting of a vein does not do you justice.
OH MY GOD! YOU CUT THE NAIL TOO SHORT AND THERE'S A DROP OF BLOOD. HURRRY
UP AND GET THE BIRD TO A *CERTIFIED AVIAN VET* AS SOON AS MOTHER f.cking
POSSIBLE OR THAT BIRD IS GOING TO DIE A HORRIBLE DEATH BECAUSE OF YOU!!!!
Get real. That's what quick-stop is for. If you feel the need to turn it
into a dramatic scene that's your f.cking problem, but in reality it's not a
big deal.

Do yourself and me a favour Jynxie. Don't swear there's a lad. It makes you
look stupid, as does your use of cap's and insults. Then I suggest that you
cut one of your own nails too short, and then come back and tell me it is no
big deal. *I* can tell you that it is bloody painful and throbs for days
even if it stops bleeding.
NaDeana - 27 Oct 2003 05:29 GMT
Ohhh, he's Jynx. Once again, BLOCKED.

I have a suggestion for you. Take a week or so away from usenet and use the
time to clean up that stinking filth that your birds and other animals are
forced to live in. You're nothing more than a hoarder.

Sorry, dearie, you are *wrong* again. Not dumb, divorced the a.s in my life,
not all that old, and not a bird.

Perhaps you should inform the local animal welfare organisations over here
on your opinions. I am most surprised that neither one of our top zoos, my
local animal welfare officer, the RSPCA, my vet, or any visitors, has even
noticed the 'stinking filth' I an my animals live in. Do you suppose they
are all short sighted people with no sense of smell? I would be most obliged
if you could enllighten me on your definition of what constitutes a hoarder.
Your little outburst really makes you look like a nasty, spiteful, little
man who is envious of my ability to keep lots of animals and birds happy and
healthy *and* be recognised by the relevant authorities for this ability.
By the way, have you tried 'anusol'? It really does work for those nasty
old Hemorrhoids which I *know* are the reason you are so grumpy sometimes.

Infection? That is why most of us "bleed out" to prevent infections from
getting in. I don't think this is done on purpose but rather from an
accident. sh.t happens
