Greetings Mr. Lee
Personally I wouldn't be worried about the new sofa causing a problem for
my birds. HOWEVER, if xyze has even slight concerns about the welfare of
his/her birds, then s/he should definitely move the little birdies to
another room for a couple of days.

Of course! Morbid as it might seem, eggs are a healthy treat and so is
chicken. I would recommend baked or boiled chicken rather than fried, but
even a bit of fried, minus the skin, is fine. (And of course boiled egg
would be better than fried.)
Birds can eat *almost* anything we eat - you are aware of THE LIST? Yes,
you already mentioned avocado as a no-no so you must know about THE LIST.
But I thought you're birdless....
