<My tiels head is going bald not much just a little bit, has anyone
experianced this with their teils. Ive booked to go to the vet tm to get the
regular worm check and get his wings clipped and im going to ask the vet why
this is about his head, but if anyone has experianced this or knows the
reason any advice would be great..

Its a genetic breeding thing that gets past down, it was probaly already
bald there when you got the bird, why are you clipping?? The worm thing is a
bunch of crap, I have only been into tiels for almost a year now and I dont
know any breeders or friends that worm thier birds, do some research on it,
your vet wants to get a little deeper into your wallet.

need to know more....is this bird an only bird?   Could be plucking from
a cage mate?   Some tiels are bald by nature.  How long have you had it?
is it new...lutinos are prone to baldness for instance...

Age of bird?

Is the bald spot under his crest? IOW you can only see it when his crest is
raised? If so, it's perfectly normal.

Nah i have never wormed my bird the vet checks its droppings under some
microscope, i prefer going to the vet when its wings need clipping cause he
checks the bird as well and i dont know how to clip wings ive seen him do it
and  looks easy to do  but id rather the vet do it. It only costs me $10 a
visit and i go every 5months. Yeah hes going bald under his crest, you can
see it when he raises it, but i noticed today that there are new feathers
coming through and yes he is the only bird in his cage and hes like 6months
old, the vet told me not to worry some tiels go bald and some dont..
