I have two Cockatiels and I am a new bird owner. I have always wanted a Cockatiel and these two obviously needed a good home. One is supposed to be a young female and one that is supposed to be a male. They are both very vocal and could both wolf whistle when I got them.(they may both be male)The female has been out of her cage 2 times and she can fly a little but she crash lands. I let him out once he can fly very well but I thought I had killed him he crashed so bad. How do they learn to land without killing theirselves?? Thanks Angie

Patience. Just llike a human child walking. Soon they tire of falling down
and get stronger.
Exercise their wings. Hold on your finger and drop just enough for them to
open their wings and flap without flying away. Repeat a few times each visit
to build wing strength.
