This is a non binary newsgroup (that means no pictures). You could post
the pics on something like alt.pics.animals or on a webalbum and post the
url here. Thanks

Does that mean you *can't*  post pictures, or does it mean you're not
supposed to?
What I mean is, if you post a picture does it not work?

You're not supposed to.

It would probably appear briefly on your server, then be cancelled by a bot.

Post pictures in a binary group or on a website and post a pointer to them
here.

My server doesn't display them, and it doesn't pass them on to the
next machine in the downstream chain.  Most news servers are
configured this way, although of course some aren't.  I never see
them, which is fine with me.  Saves me server space.  If I want to see
pictures, I can go to web sites where the pictures are saved on
the picture's owener's server.

Just to think I used to worry about things like that.
Used to worry 'bout rich and skinny
'til I wound up poor and fat.

Some newsposters will pass the pictures complete, some won't. It's kind of a
political thing.
