My bird has this habbit of going after my mouth and if I don't open my
mouth he pecks at my face till I open my mouth and let him pick at my
teeth. It is almost like he is brushing my teeth for me. I was
wondering if anyone else has run it this along the way with their
teil?

Probably looking for food or attracted to shiny fillings. Mine always check
out my mouth when I'm eating something. As I understand it, human mouth
bacteria is not suitable for 'tiels so I would discourage this practice.
Is your 'tiel particularly young?

O.K., thank you for your feedback and my teil is about 1 and a half
years old. So yea he is pretty young.

Human mouths are full of microorganisms that can make your bird ill... so,
find your bird some other way to entertain himself.

All my birds have tried to do this. I think they are basically trying to
engage in preening behavior on you and you have no feathers. Also your mouth
is bigger than his head so of course it looks like an interesting cave. As
others have said, not good from the standpoint of germs though, you should
discourage him.

My Cockatiel used to the same when he was younger. He has grown out of it
now though.

I just leave mine out on the table at night for him to play with. He
does a good job and I don't have to pay for all those little tablets
to soak them.
JUST KIDDING!!! :)

Mine likes to groom my moustache 3 or 4 times, and then she's satisfied.
