Had my birdie's wings clipped this past weekend.....THIS she is used to.
However, at the same time the vet clipped her "toenails" as well. The
problem here is that now not only can she NOT fly, she also can't seem to
get a grip on anything. She is a big shoulder rider, but just slips off.
How long does it generally take for a cockatiel's "toenails" to sharpen up
again? Is there anything I can or should do in the meantime?
Thanks in advance for any help :)

It will take awhile for them to grow back but you can tape or sew some
felt or other good gripping material to your clothes to give him a
better grip.

Stick on velcro on items for it to stand on and the other side to the bottom
of it's feet. You will have to move the bird manualy and learn it's language
of where it wants to go. Be careful not to pull too hard when moving it as
you may find the odd leg left behind.

It won't take too long...maybe a week or two at the most, but the bird will
get the hang of it before that.

Yep, what he said, they adapt quite quickly.

But the velcro is immediate.
