Now THAT was funny!
Seriously, I can't get my tiel to play at all. He's about a year old and I
don't believe he had much human contact before I got him. He's tame enough
to be cuddled and will fly from room to room to find me. He's not shy with
people, but he seems to be afraid of everything non-living.

Mine has to approach new items himself. If you put it in his face he takes
off. Even the glue on his feet isn't effective when that happens...LOL

Buy a whole chicken from the grocery store to give him both a best friend
and a warning of what will happen if he doesn't shape up.

I hope this Brown Bag thing is just a joke...It's one of the most disgusting
thing I've heard in a long time. Just in case you would be as unhuman and as
stupid as that = what you are creating in your bird is a heart attack and
that is no joke you will kill this poor bird. I wonder how you would feel if
a big monster would fart right up you ear...Maybe you would also fake or
have a heart attack.
I hope this poor bird runs away from your home forever, people as dumb as
you should never own an animal.

LGLM, You've got to realize who this is coming from :-) She is just
joking and always says things like this, so we are used to whatever
wacky things she has to say because this is her normal behavior.... we
all mainly just ignore her :-)

No, Dennis Miller is actually funny once in awhile. John is more like Yakov
Smirnov. His time has past, his jokes are old, but nobody has bothered to
tell him out of sheer politeness.

My bird won't run away from me because of the live bug-zapper screens I
have enclosed it's area with. If it even tried to get near one of them it's
feathers stand up on end with the high voltage corona and it turns around
very quickly! Birnt the fingers damn near right off my son one time, that's
how much voltage is there.

What do they enclose your area with to keep you in?

A padded cell?

Yeah, definitely a mean trick to play on a creature that hears things at a
higher volume of sound. This may even cause hearing loss for the poor bird by
busting the ear drums. Crazy things that people will do to make their own
entertainment. Let's wisen up and think of what we are doing to other
creatures.
