Is there anyone in this group from Australia that knows of a breeder of
Galahs? I'm after a hand raised baby when they come into season!

What part of alt.pets.parrots.cockatiels do you find difficult to
understand?

What Kevin in his friendly, jovial, matter-of-fact manner is trying to say
is that there might be a better newsgrope for this discussion.  Who cares
though?  I'm sure most people here won't mind.

I have seen a few galahs around my neck of the woods recently and I have
also thought about the possibility of having one as a pet.  I don't know of
any breeders though.  In fact I'm not sure these are particularly popular
birds - they have always been considered...well, somewhat of a galah... with
most people preferring cockatoos, cockatiels or the more colourful parrots.

My question was for the normal people of this world, AUSSIE'S. So the
arrogant smart mouthed Yanks and know all pompous Poms don't bother with a
reply. This is a cockatiel newsgroup, cockatiels being birds. Some people
may have other breeds of birds or may even be in the know of clubs or
breeders. So my question again is to any one in Australia that knows of a
Galah breeder! By the way Galah's are wonderful creatures and make a
wonderful companion pet just like the cockatiels.

Hmm, there are plenty of stupid Aussies, just as there are plenty of stupid
Yanks and Poms.  (Just look at our f.cking government for a start.)

You could have just said the arrogant smart-arse PEOPLE who frequent this
group.

Yes, but remember that emus are also birds - as are canaries; you don't see
much discussion of them here.

I'm sure you are correct.  I just don't know of anyone that has one.

I did not come here to discuss Galah's, merely asking if anyone new of a
breeder.

Then why even mention Galahs if you didn't come here to discuss them?

Aussies are the only one's I've never heard a slang term for, other than
"Aussie" of course.  We have plenty for ourselves up here though.

That may be so but you are posting in a cockatiel newsgroup. You *could*
have gone to a cockatoo newsgroups or a pet bird newsgroup and enquired with
more success.

To explain things a little better for a thicko Aussie, it is the same as
posting in a snake newsgroup and asking if anyone knew where to buy a
crocodile.
juelzzz - 16 Sep 2004 09:38 GMT
Oh please, if that is the best you can say about an australian we really
don't have much to worry about.

And do you think terms like "yanks" and "pompous Poms" are top of the line
grade A insults?  Get a clue you dried up skank.

At least the Yanks and others there have some money. Ozzies don't have
enough money to even pay attention!

Either way.... it is a different nationality.... I'm sure others know
what I mean.... I really didn't mean race.
Piezzo Guru - 24 Sep 2004 22:42 GMT
Yes you did mean "race" but I knew what ya' meant. If I didn't pick on your
