Citizen_Cain - 23 Oct 2004 03:28 GMT Just came back home to find my cockatiel watching a video about John Kerry! I am so upset, I don't know what to do. Should I have a talk with my cockatiel and ask him why he wants Kerry as President? Or should I just ignore it and pretend nothing happened? He seems to be doing that, at least!
Schmedley - 23 Oct 2004 03:31 GMT register him/her

Avanti_Ken - 23 Oct 2004 04:16 GMT Yep. Register both as him and her (use slightly different first names like Fred and Fredrika) and request absentee ballots. If you have a NYC and a Florida address you can register four times, recieve four absentee ballots, and mail all four.
It has worked very nicely since 1964 for a 87 year old Miami Beach / NYC guy per the Broward County Elections Office.
They then asked him what proof he used for his address when he registered. He said "That was simple. I own a small appartment building in each city and when I had an appartment vacant, I just turned on the electricity for that apartment for a month or two and then submitted a copy of the electric bill along with my voter registration to show proof of residence."
The Broward County, FL and the Borrough of Queens NYC Elections Offices are trying to decide which should prosecute if either, because the old guy now has severe and expensive medical problems. They say they can get a conviction and incarceration but then the State would have to pickup his expensive, specialized medical bills which have been running about $70,000 per year and have been paid by the old gents five sons.
So register Mr.Cockatiel both as him and her and when the state catch's on, probably years from now, the state can incarcerate him and pay for his elder care housing and medical expenses.

Your cockatiel is smarter than you are. It happens to Repugs all the time. You can question him, but the chances are your IQ is not high enough to understand his answer.
You might consider going to obedience school. That might start a couple of synapses firing in your primitive brain. It's a long shot, but it might work.

OrionCA - 23 Oct 2004 16:23 GMT >Newsgroups: alt.pets.parrots.cockatiels,alt.politics.bush,alt.politics.democrats,alt.politics.kerry,alt.politics Crosspost troll. -- "Democratic pollster Patrick Caddell told Fox News today that if CBS's National Guard documents are forged, "the race is over":
Longtime Democratic strategist Pat Caddell said Friday that if documents aired by CBS newsman Dan Rather Wednesday night turn out to be forged, as alleged by experts, the presidential race "is over."
"It would be the end of the race," Caddell told Fox News Live. "It would be the end of the race," he repeated.
"[Democratic officials are] so involved in this," the former Carter pollster worried. "They have gotten themselves so involved in this issue [in] the last 24 hours that somebody's going to, if they're not authentic, they're going to be blamed for it. It's incredible to me that they've gotten in this." Caddell said..."I'm trying to save my party, you know, by telling the truth."
He said that forfeiting the presidential race would be the least of his party's problems if Democrats are tied to any forgery scandal.
