Just an idea, my tiel seems to dislike expensive toys from stores.

A simple chain of linked paper clips for some reason got her attention immediately. In fact in 5 minutes she learnt how to pull them apart. Now I have paper clips spread thru the house :-)

Regards,

tony

What a good idea.  I shall give that a go.  Mine likes rubber bands tied, as
complicated as you like, on the bars of the cage.  Spends an age worrying
the knots untied and chortles with glee when she succeeds.

My cockatiel loves to play in boxes and paper bags.  He also chews on
toothpicks and pencils (which I have to hide from him), for he chews up
the wood.  Sugar also will throw playing cards off the table and watches
them fall to the floor.

Consider the safety ramifcations of rubber bands strung in cages and linked paperclips and such.

It is surprising how easily these little guys can get themselves in serious trouble especially if they are rough with the sharp end of a paperclip, pencil, etc. or they manage to hang themselves from a rubber band.

Just something to think about.
