One of my budgies seems to have developed scaly face.  It is in an aviary
with some cockatiels and is very friendly with one of them.  They frequently
scratch each other's heads.  I am going to try and catch the budgie to treat
it (that won't be easy), but I was wondering if there is a chance that the
budgie might pass the mites on to the cockatiel.

Are cockatiels affected by scaly face at all?

Catch with towel and not bare hand for the "pattern setup"" relationship with
bird.

Don't know about the mites except they are not contagious to humans.
