My ornimental vail tail has recovered from Dropsy....a big thanks Ingrid for
your advice.

However I have noticed after the fish being in the hospital tubs that the
condition of its scales and fins are not looking too healthy.
I would describe the fins as washed out looking ...not looking shiny. On a
good note the fish is more lively and not resting on the bottom so much.
I have used the correct amount of salt in my tank together with a product
called stresscoat.
Its been a week without any improvement.
I have also noticed a small red looking streak in its tail fin midway.

Any suggestions....carry on as I am ?

the slime coat is thick.  there is something wrong with the water quality.
dropsy needs minimum of a month at high heat and epsom salts.  then temp down 1o per
day.  keep the water pristine and the aeration going on high.
dont use stresscoat.  get novaqua.  Ingrid
