I'm trying the 1:9 peroxide dip for possible flukes. Actually, I only
need dip the area around one of the ventral fins which is the problem
site, so I'm not totally immersing my lionhead. If I need to do this
more than once, how often can the peroxide dip be used safely on my 4
inch goldfish?

if they got flukes on place, they got em all over.  dip the whole fish, 10 seconds
only, every 3 days is fine.  Ingrid

this is older treatment.  peroxide dip is much gentler treatment developed by Jo Ann
Burke.  Dr. Floyd was one of Jo Anns teachers.  But she is general fish and aquatics
expert, Jo Ann is GF expert.  Ingrid

So Ingrid,

What you are saying is that Jo Ann (previously a LFS owner in Alabama that
has taken a couple of classes) is more knowledgeable than Ruth Francis Floyd
who  is the author of both of this articles that BV listed.

Let us also set the record straight, you keep saying that Jo Ann developed
this technique.  Hogwash.  I doubt this very much, since it is listed in
numerous Aquaculture diagnostic books and has been used successfully by the
Aquaculture community for almost 40 years.

Jo Ann is hardly a credible goldfish expert.  Matsui, is an expert, Thomma
is an expert, even Gary Hater is more of an expert than Jo Ann.  Just
because you started telling everyone this, doesn't make it so in the World
of Goldfish.

Golly Ingrid you are shameless in this promotion of Jo Ann.

Tom, why dont you expend at least 1/2 the energy you lavish on attacking me all the
time and help the newbies on this list?  Ingrid

Ingrid, don't throw stones. When I first started on the net you spewed
a few stones at me and I'm sure others. Many of us don't have Dr.
before their name but do have college degrees. We do not
stone informed nor uninformed water gardeners. Happy holidays to all.

what stones are you talking about? When did I attack you personally and call you
names?  Ingrid

AMEN!  She hit me with a few in the past......

Praziquantel is the best treatment. I don't know who invented praziquantel so I
can't kiss his/her a$$.
