Hi All

We have kept our 3 goldfish for over 5 years in an aquarium without any
issues. The other week I noticed the larger of the 3 had torn fins so added
the required "medicine" treatment to cure this. Yeaterday I noticed the fish
was bumping into the walls of the tank and to my horror realised that it had
no eyes (literally empty sockets) and a load of white scraggly mucus hanging
from it. Needless to say the fish died after I moved it to a different tank.
Now I have noticed that a second fish appears to be "bleached" whereas he is
missing gold scales and has silver patches on him. The fish are still
feeding and swimming without issue but I am worried that an infection will
wipe out the tank.

Any advice gratefully received.

Need some info on your set-up. How big is the tank (preferably in litres or
gallons)
how often do you change water and how much. Do you use a dechlorinator.
Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate and PH levels?
Do you have a filter
Anything new added recently?

Torn fins if not from nipping are normally caused by poor water quality.
