I've got 2 goldfish in a 15 litre tank, and I've noticed that there's a lot
of aggression from the older of the 2 goldfish.. I had to buy a new
goldfish, after the old one mysteriously died ( well it was a goldfish we
won at the local fair..) and since then the older of the 2 seems to spend
most of his time chasing the new one around the tank, the situation seems to
get worse during feedtime. Should I pair each of them into a separate tank?

Gold fish can become very agressive, so much that they will often
times attack the owner when they attempt to clean the tank. I have
numerous bit marks on my hands and arms. Koi are a lot worse.
In the USA they only sell new golkd fish too, as all others are
considered used and do not bring much, in money so we throw them
suckers nthe compst heap
Tha one doing the chasing is just after so tail and is horny as all
get go, looking for a bit of fish pussy. You can;t balme a fish can yu
ljust look at humans and other animals how they act, Take Carol Gulley
aka KoiLo for example.......you would be surprised how she
acts........Personally I would flush thjem suckers and by some Neon
Tetras as they are much peacefull and don't sh.t and eat a lot.
Regards
Carol aka Koi Lo

It would probably be best to separate them, Oddly enough, fish are
individuals and can have personalities, not always to our liking.

The new one may be a female and this is normal behavior for this time of the
year. The males aggressively pursue the females to breed with them.
