I bought four pounds a couple of years ago and I still have lots left. Of course if you have Chloramines in your water it will leave the Ammonia behind; not sure how big a deal this really is. I have heard of Hydrogen Peroxide being used to add O2 to the water in the vent of a power failure. Hell its only goldfish give it a try and report back to us.
