I'm setting up a goldfish tank after a long hiatus.  The thing is, I
can't remember how much salt I used to add to the water for my fish.  I
think I used to add 1 tablespoon for every ten gallons but I've found
several places on the Internet that recommend 1 tablespoon for every
five.

How much do all of you use?

Thanks!

start with 1 teaspoon per 5 gallons and move up to 3 if you want.  low levels of salt
is enough for routine care.  increase if fish break out in ich.
