A girl I know that has a tank, says she has goldfish with different fish
in her tank. Her tank is a little wider than mine..maybe a tad larger
than a 5 gallon.

Also..How big do Guppies grow?

Not just the eating thing, but tropicals and cooler water fish just do
not mix. so that puts goldies etc not being suitbale to mix with
tropical fish. Guppies can grow 1.5 to 2" long in most tanks with
reasonable care and space. A lot of the guppies in the stores today
are inbreeds do not grow as large. I found out years agoa if your into
guppies buy em from a breeder not a pet shop. May cost a bit more, but
there is a difference. In petstores folks buy em cause they are cheap
and plentifull and some do have nice colorations, but IMHO most are
mutts.........and have little if anything to add to the species
overal....their the next thing to feeder goldies in terms of sales and
availability and price.
