Tonight I came home to find my Penguin 330 dripping water all over the floor.
Water water everywhere.

Took it apart looking for a crack, and found it right under where the biowheel
goes.

So...now I need a new filter. This is the second Penguin to crap out on me this
year, so I don't want another one. Anyone have a good recommendation?

I never had any issue like that with Aquaclear (hagen)

I agree, I had a Penquin 330 crack on me too, and all I did was
apply some percussive maintenance with a 2-iron.

But I don't understand you: what's wrong with using the Fluval-204?
I just recently switched my 20G to a Fluval-104 and couldn't be
happier.  It's quieter, allows the tank to sit closer to the wall,
and cleaning it is a breeze.

The Fluval is fine, it's just not enough for the tank. I'm a 2-filter kind of
girl.

(Plus it's a PITA sometimes to restart after maintenance, but I can live with
that.)

GiveMeABMW,

Go with the AquaClear filters by Hagan.  They work
great and are easy to clean, as far as hang on filters
are concerned.  A very good unit.
