My lionhead recently lost his eye somehow.  He seem to be bouncing
back but today he does not look well all of sudden.  One of his gills
is blood red and he is swimming slightly lopsided kind of drifting
with the current generated with the filter.  He also isnt eating.

Ideas?  Or is he done for...

I thought something might happen as a week after I bought him I went
back to the pet store and the tank he came from had a dead fish
floating at the top.

drifting with the current is poor prognosis.  sorry.
tub to tub is about all you can do.
