i read that veggies arent always good for rabbits cos they contain too
much water which helps them bloat? how true is that??
also my rabbit is getting a sticky eye but always her right hand side
one. never the left. anyone know why this happens and why to only one
eye, and how to stop it? this also happens to me mate daves rabbit
called Bobby but in both eyes. unfortunately though his eyes 'run' so
much that he know has real hard matted hair under his eyes? anyone
know how to 'free' the hair up again???

As I've just posted to your message on the rabbit haven group, your
problem is most likely due to your rabbit not eating hay, not grinding
her teeth down enough, overgrown teeth at both root and crown,
pressure caused on tear ducts restricting proper drainage of tears.
You need to take your rabbit to a vet as it can only be treated under
anaesthetic. Your friend Dave should take his rabbit to the vet as
well. It's a very painful condition and needs urgent treatment.

i would get the eye checked by a rabbit vet.
no. veggies don't cause bloat. some can give gas.

Veggies need to be introduced to a rabbit one at a time to make sure she
isn't sensitive to one. Other than that, most dark green, leafy vegetables
are good for them.
Many lops are bred with heads that are too round. This often causes their
tooth roots to press on their tear ducts. If the discharge is completely
clear, just wipe it away to keep the underlying skin dry. If the discharge
is whitish, go to a vet. You'll probably get an antibiotic opthalmic
ointment or some such. Flurry has needed this off and on through her life.

I agree with you Sue that if it's clear it is just tears, but I still
think it warrants a vet visit because it most probably does signal a
teeth problem
