Hi everyone, I just talked to Raymond at "The Plaza" in Vegas. He had quite the afternoon. It turns out when he got there, he ended up going to another Toyota dealership in the opposite direction of his original plan, at the suggestion of the car rental agent. Unbeknownst to him ended up in the town or suburb of Henderson, at Findley Toyota. There he saw a 2002 Avalon that we had been looking at on Autotrader.com. At the time, the listed cost would have made it come out to about 15,500.00$, so Ray didn't consider it. When he got to the dealership, they had just cut the price to 12,900.00$, so he bought it! Then he realized he was at the dealership he had called from Canada...LOL Unfortunately, the guy he spoke with didn't get the sale, since Ray didn't realize where he was to ask for that specific salesman :( If you want to see our new car, here it is. So, now Ray can finish up the paper work tomorrow, and enjoy the rest of his week checking out the Las Vegas experience! He got a room on the 17th floor of the hotel, so he has a nice view. He said everyone at the hotel was very friendly and helpful. I'm so happy for him! I hope he has a great time. :) Ok, I just had to tell my bunny buds...it's sort of exciting. I'd have coffee spilled in it within the first month, I'm sure! Congratulations! Laurie Gee Laurie, I never thought about how clean the interior would stay, but my guess is that Ray will take more time keeping this car clean. He has kept our present car cleaner - thought maybe not the interior - since he got it a couple of years ago from his cousin, it's still in really good shape. I can just imagine him out there now lovingly caressing the leather seats...LOL Neither of us are too keen on leather, but we'll put covers on the seats. Really, why do manufacturers think leather is so great?? In Canada it means freezer burn on our poor Canadian bottoms in winter! :D He did say it drove so smoothly and he was thinking it was too luxurious for him. I said, "GET OVER IT"!
