The UB has untrimmed front nails, but either freshly trimmed or worn
hind nails (I can't tell).

Are they any conditions a rabbit would live under where this would
happen without humans doing the trimming?

My rabbits have access to my garden during the day (supervised) There
is some hard standing, though most of it is planted.

Their nails wear down quite well, and the back ones do wear faster,
needing less trimming
