Wizard, scared the SH-T out of me! He was lying on his side. No visible movement. Jump was sniffing him. I figured, I'd poke him and he'd sit up. I poked him.... Nothing!. Another poke.... Nothing! I shook him...... Again, nothing. I grabbed him by his fur. He slowly pulled his feet under him, and looked at me with eyes only open to the narrowest of slits. He has an extremely expressive face, even for a rabbit. I'm sure he said, in a soft airy voice "What is it, I was sleeping". I said, "Man you scared me. Go back to sleep. Sorry I woke you." Merlin used to deep sleep, but if I touched him he was up. Jump doesn't usually Jump. You can see him open his eyes and follow you across the room. Even when Zolo is on his side, he'll roll his head over, and look at you. Does anyone in APR have a "dead" asleep rabbit? Will the UHF think he was sleeping on duty? Or does he just trust his Hoomin? He and Zeta are polar opposites: my big white girl is ~always~ on high alert, scared of everything. I can almost pick Louie up without waking him! Classic moment with my two: I was vacuuming in their room while they were in the cage: Zeta was literally bouncing off the walls, flying over Louie, and he NEVER woke up - he must have a very clear conscience. I've had to check and double check a number of times to make sure they are still breathing. It can sure scare you! As a matter of fact.. i was just taking a nap.. woke up and Domino is always watching me, (why? i dont know),,,,, was all laying down.. and all i could see was four furry paws... i looked, his eye was open.. but i did see him breathing.. then he woke up... Yes., I think he is loving me now.. When I take the gate down to our room when i get home from work.. he races out.. and does his snuffolopolous sniffing everything in the living room. while i get his salad ready. We already have a nice routine.. when he sees me go back to the room. he races and binkies. and almost knocks me over.. to get to his salad.. he eats his piece of banana.. then comes back out to sniff somemore..., then when he is ready, he will go and finish his salad.. then take a nap.. because you know how much energy that takes.. LOL..... and he loves his mid day cherry, thanks to you.. I just love him to death.,.He has such a funny personality, and he is affectionate to me now.. By the way.. do your bunnies also like to watch everything you do also???
