The fourth of July is often a quiet weekend for magicians.  I did have a
show for today.  A party for a very sweet six year old girl and her
friends. She saw us perform at  The Saint  Ignatius School, and asked
for us.

Of course, Wizard, poor fella, has this week off.  The show was not very
far from our house, so we dusted off The Jump, and got him to cover for
Wizard.  Brenda, who does the setup behind the curtain said that Jump
remembered exactly, and knew what was going down.  Wizard on the other
hand, after a year is still learning.  After the show I told the girls
that if they were gentle they could reach under and pet Jump's nice
round belly.  Strangely, jump loves his belly petted and let all the
girls pet his belly.  When I pet his belly he always gives me bunny
kisses.

It's been about a year since Jump has done a show.  I believe part of
ones intelligence rests in the persistence of memory.  When Jump did all
the shows, we always rewarded him immediately upon opening the travel
case, with a small piece of banana.  When I opened the case, The Jump
was not least disoriented, what so ever.  He immediately did, "The
Banana Dance", and raced back and forth across the room.  The damn
rabbit looked fully actuated! LOL  He was proud of him self, and showed
it for the rest of the evening.

Now I'm thinking that  I must have Jump do some of the close by, easy
shows, once in a while.  He has not forgotten anything, and it looks
like it might be good for him!  Go figure!
