With all the stuff going on with Precious we held off introducing our newest
family member, Honey Bunny. We had arranged to adopt her from the same
shelter as Bugsy and Precious. Yes Beth, Having bunnies is addictive. The
shelter delivered her to us the same day Precious passed. The shelter is
located some ways away from us so we didn't feel right about delaying it. If
anything, maybe it helped a little to cope with Precious crossing the
bridge.
She is a 2 year old New Zealand, about 7 pounds and seems to have a
wonderful personality. She's pretty laid back, not to crazy about being
picked up but loves to cuddle. She's all white but has a little bit of grey
on her ears and nose.
She was pretty stressed the first couple of days and didn't eat much -
certainly didn't need the additional stress after Precious but she came
around and is now eating everything in site. I've tried bonding her with
Bugsy, her old roommate from the shelter. There was a little bit of a power
struggle at first but for the most part they kind of ignore each other.
Hopefully all goes well.
Joe (for Debbie), Little Zoe Bunny, Tabitha Trueheart, Tiffany, Bugsy
Bandit, Honey Bunny and last but certainly not least, Lady Precious from the
Bridge

Carla Zoe says the Lemo is on it's way with honey bunny and cousin Angelica
Rose; But she wants you to put Liza in the Lemo and send her twin here for a
sleepover; I think Beth is packing Angelica Rose's overnight bag; Guess who
packed Honey bunny's overnight bag ? and in a hurry I might add (hint white
adorable, mommies little baby)
what a little character.
hugs

Dear Joe and Debbie,
Sending wonderful vibes and happy bonding thoughts to you for your new
arrival. I've been thinking of you both - your tribute to Precious
brought tears to my eyes. The expanse of your hearts and the love that
you have given your buns (and each other in the difficult times you've
faced with the car accident) is just inspirational. You will make
wonderful parents to this new girl and I think Precious would be happy
to know that you're giving another bun a chance to receive the love
she finally deserves.
Keep us posted on how it goes, and give my thoughts and hugs to Debbie
for the loss of dear sweet Precious.

Welcome, Honey Bunny!
You've chosen great "parents"!
She sounds quite adorable, Debbie and Joe.
Ignoring is good. Snuggling comes next.

grey on her nose and ears??? she is a californian not a nzw.. :) they
don't know what they have..
yeay!! new bunny.

Hi Beth,
The grey on her ears and nose is hardly noticeable, not like the
Californians I looked at on BunSpace. I'm thinking she is a mixed with NZ
being dominant. It seems the bigger buns are so much more relaxed and laid
back.

Good luck with the "newbie" guys. I miss having more than one rabbit
in my house but with the addition of a Siberian Husky puppy, I just
don't have the energy!
