Hi
Panda had to have this cleared. What a procedure! But she took it very
passively. Jackie and I were amazed. Panda the original bunny from hell!
What a neighbour describes as the bunny with Attitude - with a capital A.
We're still amazed. They must know when someone is there to help them.

Wow, that is great! I just about visualize what they did to unblock
it. After I had laser eye surgery, I had to go to an eye surgeon who
tried unsuccessfully to pull the plug out of one of my tearducts. It
was not a good time to say the least. Bless that little Panda!

Hi
We had been giving her eye medicine without any change in the eye's
runniness, so Sylvia;' our vet, had another look and decided to un-block it.
First S put anaesthetic eye drops in the eye and waited about a minute for
it to work. In the meantime she got a catheter, like the ones used to stuff
medicines intravenously and removed the central needle. S then forced the
corner of the eye so she could find the opening of the duct and inserted the
catheter into it. It took several goes before she found it and inserted it.
Then amazingly she let it go whilst she reached for the syringe of liquid,
presumably saline. I thought Panda would now shake it out and we had to
start again but no. S squirted a few drops into the catheter and said we
should see some fluid coming out of Panda's nostrils - which we did. Then
she removed everything, and Panda started to sneeze a bit.
S pointed out a few drops which had some white deposit in it.
Any way job done and we went home.
Normally Panda is put into her harness and confined because she likes to
jump anywhere in the vets. She took all this so quietly that Jackie and I
were amazed, and really couldn't believe it!
Cheers All - Richard

Hi
Trouble WAS the blocked tear duct and everything no OK.
Bunnytude - She is now a very loving and talkative rabbit. Still assertive
when she thinks necessary.
We get most loving each evening when we are in as she will sit alongside
Jackie or me on the sofa for about 30 mins then off to the top of the back
to observe H's antics and generally remain aloof. We call her Pompous Panda
then.
Actually she is a very different bun from H and we love her for it
