Those of us with connections to the North Texas Rabbit Sanctuary
received the following message about the group's founder (Barb) and
her bun Scooby. I don't know Barb very well, but her tireless passion
to making the lives of so many rabbits  better and happier has been
inspirational to me. She has had a hard year with the recent loss of
her husband and now with the loss of a bun that was the friendliest
and best emissary for house rabbits you could imagine, she could use a
special prayer.

Please think of her and of Scooby during his crossing to the Bridge.

Marie

---------------

This past Saturday, Barb's beloved Scooby crossed over the rainbow
bridge. Scooby had struggled with GI Stasis episodes for most of his
life. Meds and loving treatment from Barb allowed him to live a long
and happy life. Sadly he lost his last battle with stasis this week.

Scooby was a special bunny from the day he came to Barb. He had his
back leg amputated at a young age and bounced back famously. He spent
his remaining years as the constant companion  rabbit of Barb Yule and
as the NTRS mascot. No one could stop by the sanctuary without first
saying Hi to Scooby. Every friend, visitor, human or rabbit was always
met by Scooby's sweet nose bonks demanding the pets and attention he
deserved.

His friendly and peaceful nature showed the world how amazing house
rabbits could be. He was a true spokes bunny.  He will remain in our
hearts forever.

Our hearts and sympathy go out to Barb who will miss her Scooby
dearly. He will be missed by everyone who has ever had the honor of
petting his sweet face.

Barb will be grieving for some time so we do ask that condolences be
sent via email or post.

How sad.  It is always so difficult to say goodbye to our furry
friends.

I do not know her, but I'm so sorry for her loss. She lost her
husband? and now Scooby?  poor thing... I will hug my boy Domino.. and
whisper to him softly that the world has lost a mighty bun.
