Dylan saw Matthew the practice owner this morning. He thoughrougly examined
him and asked lots of questions about any changes to diet, is he eating etc.
He thinks it is a cystitis infection and gave baytril injection and anti
inflammatory as he said he is sore. He has given us baytril to administer by
mouth for 7 days and wants to see him again if he is not back to normal by
the end of the week.
Dylan is quite happy running round the garden and eating pretty much as
normal, so we are hoping that Matthew is correct. He did say it could be
stones, but that is rare, if he is not 100% by the week end he will do x
rays and urine sample, but thought that would be premature to do those tests
at this point.

Thanks guys, he has had a good day really. Spent time in the garden with the
other bunnies and is now sat munching hay and veggies. Start the oral meds
in the morning, he is usually quite good with taking it so fingers crossed
he will be this time too.

Thanks, we are smiling too. He is still passing little & often, but there is
very little blood now, just a tiny spot occaisionally, where last night it
looked like pure blood!

yea - cyctitis just means bladder infection.  can happen to males or
females.  it could have traveled up from the urethra.  I too would be
concerned about sludge and/or stones.  Good luck

Glad to hear the good news about Dylan and his issue. Glad he seems to
be feeling well and is out and about. And glad you are on top on the
whole thing.

Hope progress continues!

Ear scritchies to your little guy.

Hazel;
we had no idea Dylan was sick; we are sending ((((((get well, keep well
vibes))))))) hope it is just a bladder infection; but that's bad enough poor
little guy, it must hurt. hope it gets better and is nothing more serious.
Dylan, we are sending nose rubs from your buddies:
Zoe,Tabitha,Tiffany,Bugsy,Lady honey bunny, and (of course our Lady Precious
ATB) oh and mommy and daddy (Deb and Joe)

I hadn't spotted anything saying he was ill either.  Sorry not to have
sent good wishes earlier.

My first bunny Mr H d'Bun had a massive bladder stone (which was
removed surgically and he made a full recovery.  That was when he was
7) and that made him pee blood and be in a lot of pain.

I hope Dylan continues to improve

I hope the meds take care of the infection and Dylan has a complete
recovery.
