I suppose, with all the people on APR and at least twice as many
rabbits, considering the short (a little more than ten years) life span
of the average rabbit, I shouldn't be surprised that many of our older
rabbits have passed on. It doesn't matter. No matter how stoic I may
believe I am, I am always shocked and saddened when one of our furry
companions has left for the bridge. Sometimes it's tough being on APR,
but you guys are all here for me when things are tough, so I'll hang in
there, but losing Cocoa and Rufus and Neutrino was rough. Bruce's
description of Neutrino reminded me very much of Jump. I have his
picture as my computer desktop... the one of him sitting on top of the
carrot village, next to his inanimate girlfriend, with one big eye
looking at me taking his picture.

Yeah, it's hard to see the old guard pass on, like the passing of an era. I
feel that way about many of my old customers that I've lost, but with
bunnies the eras are slightly shorter. Makes one think about mortality and
eternity :)

3 of my buns have passed since joining apr in 2001. My 2 originals
(Wendy & Cartman) & of course my young girl Thelma. It is sad, and
unfortunately all of us will experince this loss at one time or
another.
