Poor Rotten has had a tough year. Since January she has had two dental surgeries (molar trims) in two months a hurt paw, abscess surgery in March and finally in April she was diagnosed with a leaky heart valve and has been on Lasix. She has been on the highest dose that she is allowed to take for the last couple of months. The last thing that she needed was yet another ailment. As Arlette has told you she was having eye problem towards the end of the weekend. Turns out that the vet has diagnosed that she has an abscess that is pushing her eye out. He thinks and it seems likely that it is tooth related. He sent us home with penicillin and baytrill and she is scheduled for surgery tomorrow afternoon. He did a thorough exam he said that her heart murmur sounds about the same, her lungs are clear and there is no sign of excess fluids. Still there are risks inherent to be putting under so I’m very nervous. But I really feel that this is the thing to do to give her the best chance.
