I came across this article today about rats in Kyrgyzstan that evolved
from albino lab rats and wild rats to make a breed of 'super rat' that
actually thrives on poison.

Interesting. They call the rats, but humans only have themselves to blame -
leaving rubbish and food around is asking for trouble. Rats can be very
resilient and I don't know any other creature that is so good at adapting to
new environments and conditions.
