We have 9 little bundles of joy that we would like to place in a good home.
We are located in Alliston, Ontario. They are now about 3 weeks old.
Call 705-435-4764 and ask for Jes.

Three weeks is far too young to separate from mom. Girls should stay with
mom until 6 weeks for good socializing and boys should be removed at 4 1/2
but kept with you for better socializing too.
Are you a breeder? Or was this an accident? If it's an accident you can go
to: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Canada-Rat-Adoption/   and post your
adoptions there.

Oh, I know that. I was just saying how old they were now, I know they aren't
ready yet.
Thanks very much for the link. :D

Hi Joanne,
Just a question for you, At 4 1/2 weeks is it OK to put the young males back
in with their father who is presently living alone? Is there any dangers in
doing something like this? That way all the females and all the males would
be together in two very large cages.
Jes.

If the father is very docile, you can definitely try it. If he's more
aggressive than don't do it.
You can do an intro outside the cage and see how he reacts to the little
guys and if all goes well, then you can put them together.
How old is dad?

The babies should be fine with him then.
I hope your mom was older than 4 months. It's not good to breed a female
under 4 months of age.
Ideally, your male should have been much older too so you can see what
undesirable genes he could have passed on to his kids.
Good luck with the litter and finding new homes!
