Thanks Guys for all your kind words with Chandlers passing.  Does anyone
have any idea how long a Rat would have Liver Disease before definite
symptoms like yellowing would show up?  Thankfully he wasn't in any pain
just very tired.  After the Vet had checked him over he waddled over to me
and sat on his hind legs with his front paws up on my tummy... gazing up at
me ...OMG it nearly did for me, but I stroked him and he started to fall
asleep then and there.  Such a tired wee man.

I don't know about rats but our 'old man' (13 years old) cat just died of
liver disease with no symptoms other than less eating and drinking.  He was
even playing the day before he died (didn't wake up from exploratory
surgery).  The vet said he had very advanced liver disease.
