First off I'd like to say hi, I haven't been here in a long time and
it's nice to see some activity. I used to keep rats, but the past
couple years I haven't felt the need to.
That is until recently, first I got some ratties at petco. That went
very badly. See if I even buy live stock there again.
Today I went to the usual place and got a pair of females(I always
keep females) both about a month old. Both are dark gray, and one has
slightly rexed fur. The non-rexed was dubbed Dora by my boyfriend, due
to her adventure behind the refrigerator, and I have named the rex
Trixie because it just seemed to fit. They are both very sweet, as all
the rats there were. I was tempted to bring home three but restrained
myself.
They look very tiny in the big cage I have, but they had a lot of fun
romping in it when I first brought them home. Dora is already learning
to come when called, I they're some of the smartest little things I've
ever had, we'll see how it goes long term.

Anyway, just wanted to stop by say hello and share my excitement about
the new additions to the family.

Your girls sound wonderful!!
I too will never buy rats from a pet store. Especially from around here, we
have evil pet stores.
Hope to see some pics of your sweeties. You can see mine in my webshots. The
link is in my siggy.
